Consultation

You might be unclear about what is needed to help address your present concerns and you would like advice. Some examples of situations might include

  1. the need and timing of an assessment or re-assessment.

  2. determining whether a neuropsychological, psychoeducational, or either type of assessment is needed for your child.

  3. understanding the findings of a psychological assessment already completed.

  4. needing an integrated understanding of the findings from assessments completed by several different practitioners such as psychologists, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists.

  5. already having an assessment, even a diagnosis, but looking for guidance on next steps. Perhaps you’re planning for transition to secondary school, post-secondary school, or vocational training.

Sometimes such questions can be answered quickly over the phone. Other situations may require an office visit for a more thorough discussion that might include a review of a person’s medical, developmental, or educational history, the assessment reports of others, school report cards, or other documents so that I can address your concerns.

Whether any of these apply to you or you have other concerns and you think we might be of help, contact us.
